Features of ProfiCAD

ProfiCAD is an application software download free Windows with an extensive collection of symbols and a friendly interface for electrical documentation and schematic diagrams. It is a professional utility for electrical engineers that works well on PCs with XP or higher and needs little space on the hard drive.

This free CAD software is multilingual and has an extensive library of elements and symbols to draw circuits. Its features include automatic numbering of symbols, generation of netlists and lists of wires, billing of material, drawing striped wires and more advanced features.

Symbols editor: Create and edit your own symbols with the help of a special editor. You can also order symbols for a small fee, and they will be drawn by professionals.

Lines, rectangles and ellipses can be drawn from the main screen or by clicking on the drawing toolbar. You can choose a line type from a list of predefined ones, or draw a custom one.

Ellipses can be curved and turned by angles of 45 deg. Similarly, you can draw arcs and pies with the aid of the orthogonal mode.

Outlets: Add outlets to symbols to make it easier to attach wires to them. Positions of existing symbols and wires can be adjusted subsequently using the Properties panel.

Cross references: The program supports cross references between wires and between symbols belonging to one component (e.g. relay coil + contacts). A linked symbol on a different page can be accessed by clicking on its cross reference.
